Opportunity for Competitive Pay in Manufacturing! - Owens Corning Utility Positions

Owens Corning is hiring entry-level positions in their manufacturing facility in Atlanta (Fulton Industrial Blvd). There are Four, 12-hr Shifts available, starting at $17.25/hr :

  • Day Shift: 6:45am- 7pm

  • Night Shift: 6:45pm-7am

  • Rotating 36/48-hour schedule

  • Work 15 days/month

Job Details:

  • Inspect material to ensure critical to quality specifications are built in

  • Assist production operators throughout the plant as necessary for two (+) person workload

  • Rotation through each position as necessary to allow for cross-training

  • Provide backup and short term break relief anywhere on production line

  • Assist machine operators in start-up, re-start, and shut down as needed

  • Clearing jams, resetting machine, rotating with other utility employees

  • Operate a forklift

  • General housekeeping throughout the plant, shipping department, and grounds

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy items, bending & twisting, and working in extreme hot/cold manufacturing environment

  • Ability to work a 12- hour shift

  • Ability to operate a forklift (training provided)

  • Able to comply with all plant rules

  • Able to maintain a clean and orderly work area

  • Maintain regular onsite attendance

  • Willingness to learn and teamwork

  • Hair-follicle drug test, background screening, and medical questionnaire
