January 28th, 2021: Northeast Metro Atlanta Virtual Career Fair

This fair was hosted in partnership between WorkSource Atlanta, Metro Atlanta Industry Partnerships, and Opportunity ATL.

With over 340 attendees and 48 local and national employers looking to fill over 700 positions, the event was a great success for both employers and jobseekers.

 

June 10th, 2020: Opportunity ATL Virtual Job & Resource Fair

With over 1,200 attendees and 33 local and national employers looking to fill over 2,000 positions, the event was a great success for both employers and jobseekers:

  • 1,057 jobseekers connected with employers during the fair

  • 84 on-the-spot interviews conducted

  • 225 follow-up interviews scheduled

  • 104 attendees signed up for training and services



 

August 14, 2019: Opportunity ATL Job & Resource Fair

With over 980 attendees and 35 local and national employers looking to fill over 1,600 positions, the event was a great success for both employers and jobseekers. The fair featured Resume Review and Interview Coaching, free professional blazers from Find Your Fit at Goodwill, 5 Mobile Career Labs provided by WorkSource Georgia for on -the-spot applications, and the Restorative Justice Expungement Program. 

  • 3,275 connections made between attendees and recruiters

  • 750 on-the-spot interviews conducted

  • 150 jobs offered on-site

  • 80 attendees hired by one employer

  • 302 attendees signed up for training and services

  • 107 professional coats given to attendees by Goodwill of North Georgia

  • 111 attendees registered to vote

Companies including Starbucks, UPS, FedEx Ground, Delta and many more were present.

 

May 11, 2019: Youth Summit

69 Youth participated in a half-day employment readiness workshop with industry experts representing IT, Construction, and Healthcare and service providers from JUMMA, WorkSource Fulton, Atlanta Tech, and CEFGA. There were a total of 4 workshops available for the youth to attend.

  • Networking: How networking benefits you; How to network in four easy steps

 

April 17, 2019: Washington High School Job & Resource Fair

In partnership with Washington High School and Georgia State University’s Crim Center for Urban Educational Excellence; we piloted a program to help students learn about the short-term training that leads to quality jobs and employers with job opportunities that lead to careers.

The pilot consisted of three Industry Insight Sessions and concluded with a Job and Resource Fair that included 13 employers and 9 support service and training providers. Delta, Haverty’s, FedEx, Southern Company, UPS, Kaiser, WellStar, and State Farm were a few of the employers that participated. Over 100 seniors from WHS too part in the insight sessions and fair.

 

October 16, 2018: Opportunity ATL Job & Resource Fair

Nearly 300 jobseekers attended the October 16 Fair! With 40 employers and support service and training providers participating, the outcomes were wonderful:

  • 799 connections made between attendees and recruiters

  • 431 connections made between resource providers and attendees

  • 10 on-site interviews conducted

  • 195 Follow up interviews scheduled/conducted, or attendees shortlisted by employers

  • 69 attendees obtained jobs as a result of the fair
