ENHANCE YOUR TALENT PIPELINE
Employers helping to increase student interest in high-demand areas and align training and education programs to their needs are key to strengthening and growing a competitive workforce.
YouScience Talent Marketplace | Find Talent in Your Community
Post-COVID, finding skilled employees is a challenge for employers. It can be even harder to find the talent you need in your local community. That’s why YouScience launched Talent Marketplace – a new platform revolutionizing the way employers can identify and connect with local talent.
YouScience uses performance measures of aptitudes and industry-recognized certifications to validate an individual’s knowledge and skills.
By joining the Talent Marketplace, students will be able to see your company and how they match to potential opportunities. You will be creating early awareness of your company in the minds of your future pipeline of talent. The YouScience Talent Marketplace is FREE for employers to use. In less than 5 minutes, you can register your company, select your talent preferences and start matching with local talent. Click here for more information!
Enhance Your Future Talent Pipeline with Work-Based Learning
On May 13th, MAC and Opportunity ATL hosted a webinar featuring David Gaensbauer, Ashley Gravlee, and Jyothi Kadali with Novelis, and Dr. Dwionne Freeman with Atlanta Public Schools regarding Work-Based Learning (WBL). They shared how work-based learning both impacts their business and the benefits to students and employers.
Enhance Your Talent Pipeline with Externships
On April 1st, we hosted a webinar about growing your future talent pipeline by hosting externships for Atlanta’s educators. Externships give teachers perspective as to how the skills being taught in the classroom are used on the job. We heard from employers about how they’ve incorporated externships into their businesses and about the benefits to both the businesses and teachers:
Prepares students for the workforce and increases awareness of career opportunities.
Addresses the skills gap most employers report between classroom and workplace
Increases visibility in the schools and possible talent pipeline
Helps bring real problems of practice into the curriculum by collaboratively developing projects or capstones
Provides connection to schools that can lead to further opportunities for work-based learning partnerships and recruiting opportunities
